Open-source client, free service

Moochy is free: no fees, no commission, no paid plan. The Moochy app, the part that holds your key and encrypts every request, is open source under Apache-2.0.

Open source (Apache-2.0)

  • The Moochy app: serving donations, the MCP server and API for your tools, the keychain, provider adapters, safety checks and every limit.
  • The cryptography: encryption, key wrapping, signatures, receipts and key log checks.
  • The protocol: message definitions, test vectors and the public specification.
  • The guides for donors, maintainers and tool builders.

Why you do not need to trust our relay

Our relay and this website are not open source. You do not need to trust them, because:

  • Requests are encrypted on the maintainer's machine and opened only on the donor's machine. The relay forwards encrypted bytes and stores no prompts or answers.
  • Your API keys stay on your machine. Moochy never stores them online, and your limits are checked on your machine, even if the relay asks for more.
  • Receipts are signed by devices whose keys are in a public log with a public Git copy. moochy verify checks them on your machine.
  • The app refuses changed, replayed or forged requests.

Free, with no catch

Moochy charges nothing and takes no commission. Donors pay their AI provider directly, only for the requests they serve, never more than their monthly limit. Moochy never holds or moves anyone's money.
